Trademark Registration – Classification Guide Class 7 in Japan

I’ve decided to sell “vacuum cleaners”.
First of all, I’ve prepared an impactful product name and logo for my new products of vacuum cleaners, and I’d like to register it as a trademark to prevent others from copying.

Then, you remember to designate Class 7, which includes “vacuum cleaners”!
Class 7 includes not only machines such as vacuum cleaners, but also many products related to machine tools, motors and engines. Let’s check it out.

Considering the future product development of vacuum cleaners, I think it would be better to specify other goods in Class 7.
The cost will be the same if it’s in the same class, but I wonder if we can also designate dishwashers which are also home appliances, in Class 7…?

Class 7 is a category of machines, machine tools, motors and engines (Classification)

Class 7 mainly includes machines, machine tools, motors and engines.

In general, it may be easier to understand if you think of products sold by machinery manufacturers, as well as products that are familiar to us in our daily lives, such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and dishwashers.
